Sara James decided to have a detox, but luckily for her fans, it’s not a detox from music! Quite the contrary - she’s just released her new long awaited single.
Sara's latest song talks about the emotions associated with cutting yourself off from difficult relationships. It’s all about realizing how difficult it is to fight to free yourself from toxic dependence, but also about how important it is to take up this fight.
- When you finally decide to put yourself first, the process - especially in the beginning - is terribly difficult. But such a detox is necessary. If you feel that something or someone has a toxic influence on you, it's time to free yourself from it! – this is Sara's message to the listeners.
While working on the song, Sara was accompanied by British producer Cameron Warren. This is the first, but probably not the last, collaboration between these two.
- “DETOX” is my first single to date written and produced in London. While working on the song with Cameron, we didn't listen to any of my inspirations, influences etc.. I didn't play him my previous songs either. We just got to work together and the effect was amazing!
For some time now, the artist has been talking more and more loudly and boldly about the premiere of her upcoming debut album. The premiere of "DETOX" is a big step in this direction, because with the release of this song, Sara reveals to her fans for the first time what they can expect in the coming months.
- The debut album is something very important to me. After all, it is the result of three years of my very hard work. Many successes, but also many challenges and sacrifices. I wanted to tell it all with this album, symbolically combine all the experiences that have accompanied me since I first appeared on the big stage. And I think the coming months will be a good demonstration of this. I am taking my listeners and followers on a very exciting journey. I let them into my world.
